We’ve been taught that love means closeness. That the measure of how much you care is how tightly you hold on.

But sometimes the most loving thing two people can do for each other is make room.

Not because the love is gone. Not because something broke beyond repair. But because some things can only be felt, processed, and understood in the quiet that distance creates.

Some versions of yourself can only return when the noise settles enough to hear them.

Choosing space when every part of you wants to hold on, that’s not giving up. That’s one of the deepest forms of love there is. The kind that says: I care about what we’re building enough to do the harder, more honest thing. I care about you enough to let you breathe. I care about myself enough to do the same.

The ache is real. And so is the peace. Both can be true at the same time. 🩵
